Customs Duties and Import Taxes Policy
- Responsibility for Payment:
- For international shipments, the consignee (recipient) is responsible for paying any duties and import taxes due upon delivery. These costs are not calculated or collected at the time of placing your order and must be paid directly to customs when your package arrives.
- Calculating Import Duty:
- The amount of customs duty varies by country and depends on the tariff policies of the recipient country. For international shipments sent via USPS First Class, the customs duty amount will vary based on your country’s regulations. We generally declare an invoice value between $20 USD and $150 USD and mark the package as a gift to help minimize import duties, though the final amount is subject to your country’s tariff policies.
- Reducing Import Tax:
- If you have specific requirements for the declared value of the invoice, please contact us at service@gerpwfe.com. We will adjust the declared value according to your instructions. If no specific instructions are provided, we typically declare the value between $20 USD and $150 USD, depending on the package’s weight and size.
- Handling Customs Clearance Issues:
- If your package encounters any customs clearance issues, we will cover the customs clearance fees and provide you with the shipping invoice, which you will need to present to customs. Additionally, we will assist you by contacting USPS to help resolve the situation.
